MECHANICAL ENGINEER THE COMPANY Akiyama International Corporation is a privately held Company with over 50 years of printing press engineering and manufacturing experience in the graphic communication industry. THE OPPORTUNITY The Mechanical Engineer position is a dynamic, critical position within the Akiyama organization that requires the expertise/travel to perform jobs personally at customer’s site. Relevant industry experience would be a plus. It is required that the successful candidate obtain the necessary knowledge of Akiyama’s product to perform the duty and meet customer’s needs. THE POSITION Mechanical Engineer East Coast Region and Chicago area: The candidate is located in the east coast or Chicago area and will be dispatched from home to service Akiyama’s customer. REQUIREMENTS Hands-on and experienced in sheet fed printing press repair or troubleshooting. Good interpersonal and customer relation skills. A strong working knowledge of mechanic of sheet-fed printing press. Comprehensive knowledge of graphic arts industry and suppliers.
